Movie with no dialog

I heard a story on NPR today that mentioned Ray Bradbury's description of fire in the book Fahrenheit 451.  The commentator admired his description of the fire, saying he made it come alive.  That made me think it would be cool to have a book or a movie written completely without dialog or other description of what the characters are thinking or saying.

I wonder if you could really write something that way that people would enjoy.  I mean, you still have to have all the necessary elements of a good story: character, development, conflict, tension, conclusion, etc.  Can you do that while limiting yourself to describing only what you see?
